On Monday July 13, WTMD presents an intimate free performance and live broadcast with critically acclaimed singer and songwriter Caroline Rose at the storied Baltimore club The Ottobar.
Caroline Rose started their career in the early 2010s writing clever, politically minded folk and Americana music. Since then, they have shape-shifted through various genres, from the synth-heavy, satirical pop-rock of Loner (2018) and Superstar (2020) to the deeply vulnerable, ambient-electronic elements found on The Art of Forgetting (2023). Rose is an outspoken champion of the independent, working-class musician with a commitment to creative independence and fighting exploitative industry practices. Ever playful and experimental, Rose just released, “Yip Yip Yow” (long a live fan favorite), and appears positioned to pounce.
Doors open at 11:30am and the show starts at noon Monday July 13 at The Ottobar, 2549 N. Howard St. in Baltimore. Live Lunches are made possible by WTMD members. Become one now!
