DUNUMS is a music, multimedia, and collaborative performance project that emerged in 2009 and is led by Sijal Nasralla – a sad, mad, glad, diaspora dad, raised and based in North Carolina. DUNUMS identifies as arty and noisy post-rock; nostalgic, bedroom fake-jazz for a free Palestine. Their songs blend memory and homeland heartache into sonic feelings – reflections on family, love, rage, and how “God” will always be greater. How the Earth will always be an accomplice to oppressed peoples.
