Freezing Cold has a penchant for diving into the familiar, relatable moments of being alive. Inspired by ’90s alternative and indie sounds, the NYC indie rock three-piece effortlessly layers catchy guitar, airy keys, textured synths and woodwinds with ethereal three-part harmonies and poignant lyrics. The band was co-founded in 2017 by seasoned indie-punk musicians Angie Boylan (touring/session drummer in Sleater-Kinney, Aye Nako, Cheeky) on drums and Jeff Cunningham (Bridge & Tunnel, Ordinary Lives) on guitar and vocals, now joined by bassist Leanne Butkovic who brings a new perspective and fresh energy to the band.
